Selecting Wines For The Fund

Finest Quality Wines

These wines are consistently achieving very high levels of quality but with very limited production. The quality of each vintage is also a major factor as this affects the initial value and potential for future capital growth. Historical demand for these wines with limited supply has seen significant increases in prices for the best vintages.

The Fund Manager will only purchase a wine when:

  • It is from a region/winemaker/owner/grower known to the Manager.
  • Has excellent provenance and storage history.
  • It has a record of trading in the market and can be valued and assessed by the Valuation Agent.
  • It can be sourced from reputable negociants, fine wine brokers or private collectors (subject to provenance) where a good relationship exists with The Fund.
  • The Fund believes the addition of the wine is making the most of the market conditions for the ultimate benefit of the Fund.

In addition, the Manager will seek to secure the purchase of fine wine without relying on credit terms which often creates a more favourable price and potentially a more immediate capital gain.
